Agricultural water-fertilizer integrated technology is a new technology that combines fertilization and drip irrigation. It has the characteristics of water saving, fertilizer saving, and labor saving, and is an important way to develop modern efficient and circulating agriculture. Since last year, our city has taken the popularization and application of water-fertilizer integrated technology as an important measure to promote the development of modern agriculture. Since 2016, the municipal government has listed it as a government project for two consecutive years, and has taken the lead in the province in promoting the application of water-fertilizer integrated technology. Currently, more than 10 million yuan has been invested, and the scale and level of water-fertilizer integrated construction in our city has entered the advanced ranks of the province.

  The Municipal Agriculture Bureau formulated the "Jiaozhou 2016-2020 Implementation Plan for the Promotion of Water-Fertilizer Integrated Technology", focusing on promoting water-fertilizer integrated technology in three aspects: First, implementing typical demonstration and promotion. 4400 mu of water-fertilizer integrated technology demonstration areas have been built in 5 towns such as Jiao Lai and Jiao Xi, covering the main potato production areas of the city. A number of typical demonstration bases for water-fertilizer integration with advanced technology, standardized management, significant benefits, and replicable promotion have been established. Through demonstration base displays and on-site observations, surrounding areas have been encouraged to gradually implement and apply water-fertilizer integrated technology. The application of water-fertilizer integrated technology saves an average of 50% of water per mu of potatoes during the entire growth period, reduces chemical fertilizer by 25 kg, and increases yield by 500-1000 kg. Second, focusing on technical services. The Municipal Agriculture Bureau has organized technical experts to conduct hundreds of technical guidance sessions in towns such as Jiao Lai, teaching farmers relevant operation points on-site and guiding them in drip irrigation testing. At the same time, a network communication platform such as a QQ group and WeChat group for water-fertilizer integrated technology exchange has been established, regularly providing farmers with various technical uses and facilitating communication between farmers and technical experts. To date, more than 200 people have been trained in water-fertilizer integrated technology. Third, guiding social forces to participate and promoting the popularization and application of water-fertilizer integration. Supportive preferential policies have been introduced, providing financial subsidies to modern agricultural parks, large planters, family farms, and farmer cooperatives that have newly installed water-fertilizer integrated facilities. Encouraging 20 scientific and technological households to conduct in-depth research on water-fertilizer integrated technology and guiding other farmers to actively participate in its application has created a good situation of multi-level and multi-channel joint promotion.
